We recently stayed at a lovely hotel just on the edge of Brantome. Le Jardin Des Chouchoux impressed us with its beautiful setting and easy access to the river, just a 5-minute walk away. The hosts, Julien and Angelique, were exceptional and made us feel incredibly welcome. They were attentive, offering little touches such as providing water to our rooms and drinks by the pool during the scorching heatwave. We also enjoyed a delicious evening meal on the terrace, with beautifully presented and creative French cuisine. The breakfast was equally generous, featuring super croissants and bread. We had delightful conversations with the hosts and overall had a superb stay.

We also had the opportunity to watch a stage of the Tour de France from the hotel's terrace, where we were treated to food and drinks all afternoon. It was an unforgettable experience! The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, plus they offered modern and clean amenities. The restaurant's short menu was a definite highlight featuring some surprisingly creative dishes. My children wanted a larger play area for outdoor activities.

This small, family-owned hotel is just a 2-minute walk from the beautiful village. Spacious, renovated rooms open to a garden with a small pool and dining area. Attentive owner-managers and excellent dishes.

Felt very lucky to have found it, nothing too much trouble.

The hotel is located super close to the Périgueux Golf Course, which was totally rad for a day of swinging clubs with my friends. And the best part? The pool! Nothing beats taking a dip after a long day of golfing. We had a blast, and the staff was really cool too.

The only thing that would have made our stay even more epic would be if there was a hip party spot nearby. We're young and love to have a good time, so having a club or a bar within walking distance would have been wicked.

The small hotel had some nice features, such as spacious rooms with comfortable beds and a lovely pool area. The location was also quite convenient as it was close to shops and cafes. the breakfast offered fresh local items that were a pleasant surprise.

During my Christmas stay, I was disappointed that there were no decorations or festivities whatsoever. It felt like staying at any regular hotel, and there was no holiday cheer.

The quiet street provided a peaceful atmosphere, while the renovated and spacious rooms had modern bathrooms and beautiful views of the gardens. The service was fantastic - the multilingual owners were welcoming and attentive. Breakfast was fresh and delicious with local jams and juices, and the pool area was spotless and offered a great space to relax. We also enjoyed some excellent dishes from the restaurant.

There was one minor drawback to our stay.
